A Plane Window

We came to Berlin on the 25th anniversary of the Berlin Wall fall, so there were many tourists and holiday atmosphere. From the Tegel airport we headed to the Nature museum to see the dinosaurs' bones. The height of one of them was really impressive. It is so exiting to think that many million years ago they wandered our planet, so dangerous, giant and different. We saw a lot of people near the Brandenburg Gate and the concert to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Berlin Wall fall. It was impossible to go through the crowd. As we lost some time to move to other hotel, in the evening we went to look at the Fernsehturm and had a meal in the Munich restaurant Hofbrau. The German beer is considered as one of the best, and that really deserves it. The 2 liters of cold beer quenched thirst and of course, traditional German Eisbein fed our hunger.

On the next day we had coffee and went to the Berlin Zoo. Elephants, giraffes, rhinos, tigers, snakes and so on. We noticed that the stuff had created the great conditions for the animals. We really liked visiting the Zoo. Nearby we saw the Gedachtniskirche, which had been badly damaged during the bombing in World War II. It still remains so. Not far from there we visited Checkpoint Charlie and then went to the Pergamon Museum, where we found the beautiful original Ishtar Gate of Babylon. It was getting dark, so we went to the Berlin Cathedral to take some photos. I could say that it was really easy to get anywhere in Berlin for a short period of time, that's because of U-Bahn and S-Bahn system. So before having supper, we rode to see the Oberbaum

Bridge (famous bridge appeared in many films like Run Lola Run) and the East Side Gallery, where the rest of the Berlin Wall still remains. About 2km of the Wall we walked and then got back to the Hofbrau. What I'd like to say about that place is that it was German-flavored with songs, German dances and wood benches.

On the last day we had an appointment to the Reichstag to visit the roof terrace. It was worth visiting that! One of the most memorized places through our journey. Also we looked at the Brandenburg Gate again and headed to the airport. We must confess that 3 days wasn't enough for such a city as Berlin.
