18 - North Iceland roadtrip - day 2

Akeruyi, 09.03.2019

Dear readers,

Today there were 2 things which we absolutely wanted to do: go to the pool and buy fresh Icelandic fish.

We decided to go to the pool first thing in the morning and then see what else we would pass on the way.
It was a beautiful sunny day, we were very lucky with this as it is common to be very snowy and cold up north.

We arrived at the pool at around 11 am. It was absolutely FANTASTIC. It was an infinity pool with a stunning view of the mountains. I am glad we left quite early because we were the only ones there at first. There is a big pool, and two smaller (and warmer) ones. The water temperature was perfect and it was so relaxing. I even think it might be better than the Blue lagoon. So this

place is definitely worth a visit!

Next, we went to a Fisher's town to buy some fresh fish for our dinner. The town where we went was called Siglufjörður. It was a cute little town. We bought some trout for dinner and fish & chips to eat straight away. It was delicious!

Then we drove to Dalvik to find an art gallery, but sadly was closed... We will be back! The view was stunning though.

Aftwerwards, we drove on to our hostel in Akeruyi. It was a great hostel and we are going to stay here for two nights. We ate the delicious trout and enjoyed done games & drinks. Today was quite a relaxing day, which was nice. Tomorrow we will be going to Myvatn lake and I can't wait for that!

Love,

Camille
