The Surf Sabbatical

After a long day of traveling, we finally made it to El Salvador last night. We slept hard, lulled by the sound of crashing waves and woke up feeling refreshed and ready to surf. Our hotel sits right in front of a really consistent point break so we were out the door and in the ocean about 90 seconds later, pretty much a dream. We had a surprisingly good session being that it was our first time surfing here, as it usually takes a bit to figure out the wave, where to be, what hazards to avoid, etc. We got out of the water, had a great breakfast, and have been reading and hanging out ever since. We are incredibly happy with our decision to come to El Salvador and specifically this hotel. It’s exactly what we were hoping for.
