Day 8 - Dam!

Yellowstone National Park, 07.08.2017

We traveled today from Garryowen MT to Yellowstone NP WY crossing state lines and 2,100 mile mark since 7/1. We drove through Cody, WY which is home of Buffalo Bill Cody. He was quite an active citizen. He was instrumental in the construction of the world’s largest dam for the community bringing water to the ranchers and farmers. We stopped by for a visit. It took many contractors and over-budget spending to finish it. Men died constructing this dam during 40 below weather.

We snapped some pictures on our way to the campground. We then checked into Fishing Bridge RV resort in central Yellowstone. This is one of 8 "villages" in this 2.2 million acre park. Looking forward to our time here.

Unfortunately, there is no cable or phone service...dam!
