Day 43 - Beer Here!!

Bend, Oregon, 08.12.2017

It was an easy drive day with a 2-hour trip from Crater Lake to Bend Oregon. We are staying at the Crown Villa RV Resort. It’s an upscale campground that had great amenities (except for lousy internet!!) with mostly large RV’s. It’s about 7 miles from downtown Bend.

Once we got settled in we headed to Bend for their annual Brew Fest. Had a heck of a time getting a parking space because there were so many people. As we walked towards the amphitheater where the fest was being held, we came upon the Deshutes River thats runs by the town. There were lots of people enjoying rafting. Looked like a lot of fun.

The area where the fest was held was filled with stores and restaurants. Picture Southside Works on steroids with people rafting. We crossed over a bridge into the outdoor amphitheater. There were close to 100 breweries represented along with some cider and wine. You got a 4 oz taste for $1. Tim was in beer heaven. I’m not a big fan of beer but I did taste a few that I liked.

Here are a few of the beers we tasted: Anchor Blood Orange, Blue Heff, Pineapple Coconut IPA, Whole on the Head, Citradomis, Drop the M.I.C, and Juice Pop. The place was packed mostly with millennials. Of course, a DJ played non-stop.
