Ships log day 109

Gulf of Aqa, 23.04.2017

All at sea hot and sunny and breezy travelled 29,500 miles still cruising in the Red Sea and we will reach the Suez Canal at 5am tomorrow morning and will spend most of the day going through it. It's St George Day on board with a big street party going on, proper old knees up with bangers and mash, pie and mash and warm beer another reminder of our English culture. All this frivolity is going to upset the Germans Nationalist Part they will be up in arms, I am sure they tried to ban it, but we came through lads. Only 11 days left and the packing problem has reared its head, and panic is beginning to set in, I am staying on. You probably all knew this but I didn't, and that is St George was a Turkish soldier in the Roman army in 280 AD and was executed in Israel for being a Christian and buried in Lod Israel, strange that he represents England's National Day, obviously they couldn't find an English person. We are only 2 hours ahead of you now. Top photo is close to the Valley of the Kings and the lower is the Bedowins
