Ships log days 86

Singapore, 31.03.2017

Two days in Singapore and definitely a place to spend a couple of weeks again some time in the future There is a lot to do here an ultra modern city mostly financed by the Chinese. Gigantic buildings, beautiful public gardens, a lot of law and order here, death for drug trafficking, three lashes for graffiti, seemed a bit over civilised and a bit Communist. We visited a Buddhist temple with a large group of monks all chanting to the rhythmic beat of their bell, very haunting. Singapore was English and is very prosperous. There is the biggest amusement park we have ever seen and rivals Florida and includes beeches. Very hot 36 degrees, we visited the famous Raffles Hotel for a couple of Singapore gin slings, then a tour of the city followed by a evening cruise in the harbour with a laser light show on the buildings accompanied by music a very enjoyable 2 days. Tomorrow Kuala Lumpur capital of Malaysia. The top photo is us arriving in Singapore the lower photo is Raffles Hotel.
