Day 12: Boat trip to the little islands

Headed off to the port early to board a private boat out to the little islands off the coast of Koh-Phan-gan. Spent the journey there talking to Salvatore and listening to music with him. I loved his music choice and speaking to him about his farm and all his diggers. First stop was snorkelling in a bay where we were all able to jump off the top deck of the boat. Next we headed to another very small island where we did kayaking across to another hike. I kayaked with Salvatore and we made a pretty good team! We were first into the caves! Following on from this we did a hike up to see the blue lagoon which was so beautiful and great for photos! Salvatore bought me an ice-lolly here which was sweet of him. We had a HUGE down pour of rain later in the day as the 26 of us boarding a long-tail speed boat to another coast. It was so funny how drenched we got however, we were able to run into the sea as soon as we got to the island to warm up. Ben, Salvatore, Jacqui and I had a wrestling match in the sea. In the meantime, Hermione (of course) went on a hike up a mountain with Lisa, Marcus and Taylor to look at the view.

Had dinner in the hotel bar that night, I had beans on toast which Salvatore found very bizarre! That night he rang the bell at the bar and bought the whole bar shots! His speech was so cute! He said that he wanted to dedicate the drinks to the Contiki group and to one special lady (me). I got up on the bar with him to down the shot and gave him a kiss. I was so embarrassed but deep down I loved it! We had a romantic walk along the beach that night (trying to hide from Jodi and Jeff) and then headed back to the hotel for some cuddles... (had a slight complication with the 'raincoat' but we won't talk about that too much)!
