Day 85: Scones, cream + jam

Today was a rainy day but we didn’t let that stop us from getting out. We had a very lazy morning in bed and then headed off up into the mountains to hunt down a good tea room. Miss Maples, was the one that Sam really wanted to go to, however this was jam packed with people who were trying to warm up inside and avoid the rain! We were gutted we couldn’t get in however 10 minutes down the road we found another tea room in Kallister. We both indulged in 2 scones each with clotted cream and fresh jam along with many cups of hot tea. The perfect food for a rainy day! This evening I met Sam’s parents. We went out for a meal with them and they were so lovely to me. I could really see why Sam had turned out to be the lovely gentleman that he is. It was great to see them, and to see that Sam valued his family and spending time with them so much. We headed home for a cosy night in to watch Netflix.
