Day 80: Four Figs and Shanikas

Rye, 10.30.2019

This morning Sam took me to his favourite breakfast spot, the Four Figs in Beaconsfield. We both went all out and had full English breakfasts with hot drinks and I literally couldn’t move afterwards! It was insane and really nice to sit outside and have breakfast in the sunshine. In the afternoon we drove up to Arthur’s Seat, a beautiful look out point up in the hills where you can see views of the coast for miles. It was such a nice hot day and the sea looked that amazing bright blue colour. We also took a walk through the gardens which were really pretty and it was so peaceful with not many people about. It felt so good walking around holding Sams hand in public as this was something we hadn’t really got chance to do in Thailand. We spent the rest of the afternoon in Rye, another coastal town which had the most amazing clear blue sea. We sunbathed on the beach and relaxed in the water, which was a bit warmer than the sea in Torquay. Tonight we had dinner at a really nice restaurant in Berwick called Shanikas, where I ate the best pasta dish I think I’ve ever had along with an Aperol Spritz. It was thick parpadelle pasta in a chunky slow cooked beef ragu sauce. The portions were massive and we both left feeling very full! I love having cute meals out with Sam. He looked so handsome tonight and I felt so lucky to be able to spend this time with him.
