Day 126: Miss Maples!

Tooradin, 12.15.2019

Today Sam and I went to Miss Maples tea room! This was the second time we had attempted to get into this tearoom, which was such a popular spot! Today we arrived 20 minutes before it opened so we were the seconds ones to be seated! We had scones, jam and cream and Yorkshire tea which was perfect. Sam also ordered a banana split, I think he instantly regretted this when we saw how big the scones were!! We headed back home for an afternoon nap because Sam wasn't feeling great today. Later on, we went to the farm to help his dad Pete measure some power poles. Pete got me involved which was nice, asking me to write down the numbers he shouted out! We went out with Sam's parents for dinner tonight at Club Officer. They greeted us with a massive gift bag and said they had bought me a few Australian souvenirs for me to remember them. This was the cutest thing ever! There was a koala bear teddy, a pad and pen, some magnets, a keyring and a baseball cap. Pete and Frances are so lovely and I'm glad I got to see them again before I leave. I had a British parma for dinner which was unbelievable!
