Day 127: 'S' Necklace

Melbourne Airport, 12.16.2019

Today was my last full day with Sam. I felt very emotional all day but wanted to make the most of it. He had pulled a sicky today just to be with me, something I was very appreciative of. We went for breakfast at the Four Figs, Sam's favourite cafe and then went back home to pack up all my stuff. It was hard saying goodbye to 32 Double Delight. We had made so many memories here, and it had ultimately been the place were I had fallen in love with Sam, so it was hard leaving. It was even harder saying goodbye to my little friend Archie. We had spent many hours together while Sam had been at work and I had grown very fond of him! It was a lovely day today so the plan was to head into the city before we went to stay overnight at a hotel near the airport. Before we left, Sam took me to fountain gate as he insisted that he bought me a gift, something for me to remember him by. We ended up choosing a necklace, with a heart shaped pendent which surrounded the letter 'S'. It meant a lot to me that he wanted me to wear this all the time when I was home, it was very sweet of him! We then headed into the city and spent some time walking around Alexandra Gardens and sunbathing for a bit too. It was nice just being able to spend quality time together, chatting and enjoying the sunshine. We also went for a drink at a bar by the river, where coincidentally PwC Melbourne were having their xmas party! After a lovely day we headed to the airport hotel, arriving there it began to feel really real that I was leaving tomorrow. We dumped or bags in our room and then headed downstairs to have our final dinner together. We had the perfect evening, long chats, cuddles and plenty of tears! We both talked about what we wanted, and ultimately we wanted each other, so it wasn't hard to decided that we wanted to continue what we had, and make this work. We went to sleep around midnight, with only 3 hours until I needed to be up for my flight and Sam needed to leave for work! I can certainly say it was worth travelling for 4 months just to meet him! I'm so in love!
