Day 104: I am sailing!

This morning we left the Temaki village shortly after breakfast to head to Lake Taupo which was only a couple of hours away. On the way we stopped at Huka Falls which was beautiful, today was really hot! When we arrived in Taupo, we checked into our Base hostel, Alex and I were lucky enough to get an all female spacious dorm! At 5pm a few of us had booked to do an evening sail on the lake which was amazing! It lasted for a few hours and we had a few beers along with Dominos pizzas to indulge on. Ellie and I jumped into the lake as the sun set and OMG it was bloody freezing!! Luckily it was still quite warm so we managed to heat up quickly. When we got back to the hostel, we got our walking wear and snacks organised for tomorrow as we were doing the Tongariro Alphine crossing walk!! We had an early night as we were getting up at 5!
