Day 29: Feeding the monks!

Up at 5am for Alms giving (aka feeding the monks their breakfast). This was a really good experience and many of the locals do this daily!! Set off on a 4 hour coach journey to Vang Vieng. Stopped for lunch at 1000m above sea level where we were literally above the clouds, there was even loos with a view! Arrived in Vang Vieng at the elephant crossing hotel. Chilled out and watched Friends with Eve. All headed out in the evening for a big night out. We had fresh baguettes for dinner with chicken and avocado - so good! Went to Sakura bar which was so much fun, a lot of dancing and free whiskey! Met up with Josh and Rhys again (who I'd met on my first contiki) in the bar which was nice. I’ll next see them when they join the tour in Vietnam, it'll be so much fun to travel with those two again!
