Skiing in Altastenberg

Altastenberg, Germany, 22.02.2017

For a long time we had been looking for a place to go to the snow and to go skiing. Finally we chose to go to Altastenberg which was a small village around five minutes away from a town called Winterberg. On our second day we started ski-school, that day it was very icy but that didn't stop me from giving it a good shot, because I had been looking forward to it for a long time. Dad discovered that winter sports weren't his thing. That night it was predicted to snowstorm, we were definitely hoping for it too. That night while we were watching a movie it started to snow (Schnee), so we ran outside and it was amazing because I had never seen so much snow falling! Because it snowed it was a lot easier to ski so we only did one hour in the ski-school and then the other two on the slopes! The next day we didn't do ski-school and we just went down the slopes our selves with mum! We wanted an adventure so we skied through the pine trees on another track.

We attempted to build a snowman (a.k.a. Snow-lump) and had a few snow fights wandering through the snowy village.

We were not wanting to leave because we enjoyed skiing so much, but mum and dad promised that we would go to the snow again back in Australia! We finished off with first class train trips home!
