Weekend in Bruges

Bruges, Belgium, 28.01.2017

This weekend we decided to go to Bruges, on a train. When we got to Bruges we had a look around the town square.Bruges was amazingly beautiful and old! We had traditional French Fries, called Frites!
After that we went to a history museum called the 'Historium'! It wasn't your regular history museum either! We got to use a VR Headset to show us around medieval Bruges! Bruges, in that time was very rich because it had a trading port where lots of exotic goods were imported then exported away!

On our second day we went to a chocolate museum, called Choco-Story! We learned about the origin of the cocoa bean and how it became chocolate and then we watched a demonstration on how to make chocolate and we got to taste it too, it was very yummy!
We also climbed the town square bell tower, called Belfort, it was 366 steps high!

After that we went to a museum called the Groeninge Museum, it displayed artworks by the Flemish primitive masters for the 15th century, one of the exhibitions we went on was showing paintings of what happened when you broke the law, it was very gruesome! I loved learning about what life was like back in the medieval times.
