Talking Trash and Dirt

Chami, 03/02/2018

Tomorrow, March 3, is African Environment Day. Three expats (I'm one of them) and twenty locals have volunteered to take a ride to the small town of Chami (close to the mine) to plant trees and pick up trash. The trees are needed to help slow down the sand erosion into the town.

It will be fun to do something outside of work with the local employees and to see some more of the country. I am hoping the three hour ride will afford me lots of picture opportunities.

I've included a satellite view. Nouakchott, where I work and live is further south.

Of course, being at the office at 6:00 a.m. is no treat!
